How Gear Obsession works

Stores pay us a commission when you shop through our links. We give most of it back to you as cash.

1. Join free. Sign up with your email, Google or Facebook. There's nothing to pay, ever.
2. Shop through us. Find a store here and click Shop. Buy the way you normally would.
3. Get paid. Your cash back shows up in your account, then we send it to PayPal or Venmo.

When you get paid

Stores take time to confirm a purchase and allow for returns. Your cash back shows as pending until the order locks, usually about 45 days after you buy (some stores take longer, and each order shows its date). Once locked, it can't be reversed, and it's yours.

We pay out on the 1st of every month once your locked cash back reaches $5, by PayPal or Venmo. Checks are available for $100 or more.

The rate you see is the rate you get

The cash back rate is locked in when you click Shop. If a store runs a limited-time boost, clicking during it locks in the boosted rate, even if the order confirms after the boost ends.

Tips so your cash back tracks

• Click Shop on Gear Obsession right before you buy, and finish the purchase in the same browser.
• Turn off ad blockers or strict tracking protection for the store's checkout. They can stop the store from seeing our link.
• Coupon codes from other sites can replace our link and cancel the cash back.
• Gift cards, taxes and shipping usually don't earn cash back.
